Panda Funk Team on the brain??

So as a few of you may know, two forces of awesome have now been officially joined by the means of a tiny heart on facebook. Win. <3
I am of course reffering to the awesome power of myself and Thomas 'the boy' Boyle of Panda Funk Team fame!! But enough of this mushy "I'm so happy" shit, we artistic types show our feelings through rad work (as he has done for me already)

5 things can be said for certain about Tom;

1. He is an amazing artist/ comic creator
2. His favourite colours are orange and green
3. His favourite band are Daft Punk
4. His pints come with holes in them
5. He LOVES Pandas.

And so I did this with him in mind (literally) ^_^

I could go through and try to explain every image but I'll save that boring process for my sketchbook if you don't mind! I hope you like it, well actually I do and that's all that matters ;) When the real life books rock up I'll take pictures (well as long as it turns out right or the only pictures there'll be are me in a ball crying).
I'm so proud of this, it literally took solid, hardcore, up till 2am, working for a few weeks to polish up- but it was definately worth it, the images on the proper page layouts look even more insane :3
Cheers to Shirley my tutor for helping me tackle typefaces on the final thing too. I hate typography for the most part...

Just the dissertation to try fix now 8|

Also I'm making a 2 minute 'How To' video for my house mate Abbeys project tomorrow so hopefully get that up when it's edited :)

1.  Uni is pointless other than making friends for life.
2. crownheartstar did well at the shop the other day. Flogged some plims(£8), a bag(£8) and a squirrel drawing (£30 to moi- keeerrrching!)
3. I'm home for Easter currently enjoying the company of my lovely dog Rocky
4. My Mum is officially on the world wide facebook. Lock up your sons- actually sons, lock up your Dads... Ha!
5. I'm bricking it for the FMP deadline!
6. Tom made me laugh via the means of text massarge today
7. I threw a load of crap I didn't need any more out
8. I'm playing at an acoustic night on Thursday and I'm scared...

Just SLIGHTLY FUCKED OFF about this one, spent ages faffing about with it to make a background and change the wolf but didn't save it to my USB... Hopefully I saved it to the computer at uni- but I doubt it. C'est la vie!

Welcome to the new breed...

UGH I'm so frustrated at uni atm, feel like I'm expected to tonnes more than I can pyshically cope with and I hate everything I'm doing because I get made to feel like I should hate it!

Well I'm going to wales this weekend to see my lovely aunty and uncle and I'm gonna get my head out of my arse and come back ready to kick unis nuts!!
Had a really good chat with Shirley the other day and then blasted this out, really happy with it (especially the subliminal message in it hahaha) gonna try make my stuff more like this, detailed with funny shit chucked in for good measure, just generally wanna be better!!!

I'm here to Pimp Yo' Jacket!

So MONTHS ago my Aunty Bethan handed me her 'favourite leather jacket, I wouldn't trust anyone else with this just so you know' and asked me to do as I would with it, artistically of course... Favourite jacket? Had it for years? Trust no one else with it?    No pressure then...
But at times I'm shite and it takes me forever to do stuff, and on top of that I had deadlines, dissertations and Final Major Project proposals coming out my ears so that just didn't help
The final kick up the arse was that her, my uncle and my awesome prodigy child cousin Megan were coming to visit. Hows the jacket coming? UUUUHHHH SHIT.

Quick sketchy brainstorm, paints out, jacket laid out, spotify on, position assumed- lets go! And after what I think was about 4 hours of labour the baby was born at 2.24AM on 17th February 2011

Wanted to draw the cover art from  Ellie Gouldings 'Bright Lights' for a while and what with me HANDING IN MY DISSERTATION THE OTHER DAY!!!!! Thats right guys, I did it (albeit utilising the 10% word count leniance) I figure it was a perfect time to do so.
Must admit it's been really nice chilling out and drawing for the fun of it for once, haven't done that in a while
I'll try pretend this is work mind- could be, 'if the wind changes you'll stay like that'

New term, new thinking head...

I am officially back at uni! Unfortunately that means I can no longer put off my dissertation (currently totting up a poor 4,508 words of a 5,500 minimum) but never-the-less the brain is back to firing on all cylinders!

Final Major Project time then (or FMP- fooomp, as I like to call it) and I'm pleased with what the old bonce  has decided upon- nice one brain, as a return favour maybe I'll read a book or watch world cinema.
Basically I want to create a book based around old phrases and proverbs using my illustrations to represent the phrase. It's gonna be called 'A Figure Of Speech'
It all came from this drawing that I got in mind when I was tidying my room (when I do all my best thinking) and I got it down on paper a day later...
